ACH Food Historynext page

Looking back at a century of growth and innovation, we at ACH Food Companies
credit our success with the ability to deliver the quality products our customers need, whenever and wherever they need them. After 100 years, we've only just begun.
We are energized by recent dramatic growth and even more enthusiastic about
upcoming innovations and acquisitions. Since we became a part of the global food
giant Associated British Foods plc, in 1995, ACH has acquired a number
of established food companies and brands and doubled its sales.

2005 - Associated British Foods continues their North American growth with the
acquisition of AB Mauri, best known to consumers as Fleischmann's Yeast®.

2002 - ACH Food Companies, Inc. acquires a number of well known North American
oils, syrups and starch businesses from Unilever. Canadian brands acquired were
Mazola® oil, Crown® and BeeHive® corn syrup, Benson's®, Kingsford's® and
Challenge® brand Canada corn starch.

2002 - ACH Food Companies continues to extend its manufacturing flexibility and geographical coverage.

2000 - AC HUMKO renamed ACH Food Companies, Inc.

1995 - Associated British Foods plc, acquires parts of Kraft Food Ingredients,
naming it AC HUMKO.

1987 - Kraft purchases Anderson Clayton Foods and merges it with HUMKO
to form Kraft Food Ingredients.
